Computer Science is one of the revolutionary disciplines in the field of Today’s engineering involving the analysis, design, implementation, support and operations of computer software and hardware systems. IEC's Computer Science program provides an innovative blend of software and hardware learning experiences. We offer hands-on experience with the latest equipments in our laboratories; with finest experts as faculty members. IEC's Computer Science Program fits the interests and ambitions of every student, with sound employment opportunities providing the best in IT sector.




The Discipline of Computer Science offers four years undergraduate B.Tech course.
This course is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi (India) and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (www.aktu.ac.in). To build a strong theoretical and practical foundation of Computer Science, students are provided deep knowledge in a multitude of specialties mainly in Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Computing, Data Warehousing & Data Mining, Computer Graphics, Compiler design, Computer Architecture, Distributed System and everything that makes them “Future-Ready”.

    The department is headed by Prof. Rajnesh Singh, who has vast experience of 14 years in academics and research. The Computer Science & Information Technology Department is a self-driven proactive center, which caters to the ever-growing technology in the sphere of academic, research and training needs of various concepts, tools, and techniques in the fields of Information Technology. The faculty of this department consists of domain experts with phenomenal teaching and training skills. They are also involved in the research in the area such as Cloud Computing and Ad-hoc Networks.

  • > To provide acquaint knowledge of computing principles in scientific and engineering domains.
  • > To develop student’s ability to analyze, design and solve issues in the areas of computing.
  • > To train students in cutting-edge technologies.
  • > To enable the identification of new computing trends and understanding of emerging technologies.

The department looks forward to working in collaborations with STARTUP INDIA, AICTE, DST (http://www.dst.gov.in/), MSME, DIT, NRDC, TDB, EPICS Cell with support from IEEE. The overall objective would be to help the student to get real learning by doing community projects and doing a partnership with NGO’s and Industry.

Following steps have already been taken to attain our stated mission.

  • > Apple iOS Development Centre (Established and training schedule is in the process of finalization and discussion with students is to be done).
  • > IBM Centre of Excellence (Established).
  • > NEN (National Entrepreneur Network-Wadhwani Foundation): They have been contacted to open an E-Cell/ Innovation Cell. The response is awaited.

Prof. Rajnesh Singh (Head of Department of CSE/IT/MCA and Coordinator of M.Tech Program of the Department of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, IEC College of Engineering and Technology) is one of the pillar faculty in the department of CSE. He has completed M.Tech from C-DAC Noida. He has 14 years of teaching experience. His areas of interests are networking, algorithms, mobile computing, and computer architecture. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. for Gautam Buddha University Greater Noida. To his achievements, he has 10 International and 03 National publications in different journals. He worked as a Co-Convener for two national conferences. He has presented 10 International and 27 National conferences. He has guided more than 25 M. Tech students for their research. He has guided more than 50 B.Tech. students for their project. He has attended 5 workshops related to computer science.

Prof. Archana Verma (Associate professor)
Prof. Archana Verma has done B.Sc. from Delhi University, Master of Information Science from University of New South Wales, Australia, MCA from MDU Rohtak and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Amity University Noida. She has 6 years of industry experience from TCS and 16 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels. She has authored three books 1) “Unix and Shell Programming” 2)”Bioinformatics” 3)”Database Management Systems”. The first book has been well received in India and Abroad. The book is available in the libraries of many foreign universities as e-book including Stanford University. The book is recommended in the syllabus of BCA in Bangalore University. The book appears as a reference to ‘List of Unix daemons’ topic in Wikipedia. The book is recommended in the syllabus of MCA in Cotton University Guwhati. The second book has also been well received in India and Abroad. She is Merit Holder in her M.Tech program. She won the Best Teacher Award on Teacher’s Day 2009 and Award for Outstanding Performance on Teacher’s Day 2014.

Mr. Murari Kumar Singh (Assistant Professor). He has completed M.Tech in CSE from Jamia Hamdard University New Delhi. He has completed B.Tech in Information Technology from Galgotia’s College Of Engineering and Technology Greater Noida UP . He has 13 years of teaching experience both at UG as well as PG level. His areas of interests are Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Computer Network Cryptography and Network Security, and Theory of Automata and Language (TAFL). Ms. Subiya ZaidiMs. Subiya Zaidi(Assistant Professor).She has completed B.tech from MIET Meerut affiliated to AKTU and M.Tech from Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida.She has been an active member of Computer Society of India.Her research interests include biometrics, Pattern Recognition, and machine learning. Her teaching interests include Software Analysis and Design, Software Project Management, Theory of Formal Languages and Artificial intelligence. Her Work experience includes working as an Assistant Professor in Kishan Institute of Engineering, Meerut and as a Guest faculty in GBU. Her Corporate exposure includes being a part of Tata Consultancy & Services working as a Network Engineer after being trained on Linux. Ms. Medhavi Pandey Assistant Professor in CS Department- She has completed her M.Tech Degree in Computer Science from C-DAC, Noida. She has excellent academic track record in the field of latest emerging computer technology. Her area of interest is Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Algorithms, data structures and computer Graphics. Her recent research efforts have been around natural language processing. She has participated in national, international seminars and has authored numerous papers in IEEE and other reputed journals. She has expertise to communicate updated technology in learning environment.

Mr. Kushagra Goel (Assistant Professor)
Mr. Kushagra Goel has completed M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from ABESEC, AKTU, Lucknow and B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) from MIT Moradabad (UPTU), Lucknow. His areas of interest are Digital Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence. He has deep knowledge of state of the art technologies and guided many UG students in their projects. He has Presented 2 papers in IEEE Conference, 1 paper in International Conference and published 1 Paper in International Journal. He is departmental Coordinator of the Placement Cell. He is certified in Ethical Hacking and Network Defense from C-DAC.

Mr.Rajiv Ranjan Dwevidi , Assistant Professor in CSE Department, completed B.Tech(CSE) from IEC College of Engineering & Technology, GBTU, M.Tech.(CSE) from Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, AKTU. His Areas of Interest are Soft Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. He presented 2 papers in International Conferences and 2 papers in National Conferences. He Published 1 paper in International Journal. He won the Best Performance Award for C++ Training organized by HP India. He is a coordinator of the placement cell.

Ms. Saumya Yadav, Assistant Professor in CSE department, completed MTECH (CSE) Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur BTECH( IT) Moradabad Institute of Technology, Moradabad (UPTU). Her Areas of Interest are Computer Networks, Data Structures and Design and Analysis of Algorithms. She has attended many workshops at National Level. She has actively participated in organizing events in the college. She is also a member of various committees at college level. She has presented 1 paper in National Conference and 1 paper in International Conference.

Mr. Amit Kumar, Assistant professor in CSE Department is Pursuing Ph.D from GGSIPU Delhi in the area of Big Data. He completed his M.Tech from GGSIPU Delhi and B.Tech from GGSIPU Delhi. He Qualified GATE Examination and also Qualified UGC NET.

Mr. Nikhil Sharma , Assistant Professor in CSE Department, completed M.Tech.(Information Security), AIACTR, (GGSIPU), Govt. of NCT of Delhi. B.Tech.(Electronics & Communication Engineering), GGSIPU, Delhi. Diploma(Computer Engineering), GNDIT, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. His areas of Interest are Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networks, Data Mining, Internet of Things, Big Data. He has presented 1 paper in International Conference. And he has also Won the Best Paper Award for that. He has coordinated many workshops at college level and is a member of placement committee.

Ms. Riti Khushwaha, Assistant Professor in the department of CSE, is pursuing Ph.D from MNIT Jaipur in the area of Image Processing , She completed M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from MNIT Jaipur, and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from AKTU Lucknow (PSIT Kanpur). She also Qualified GATE Examination. She has 6 years of teaching experience. Her areas of interest are Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures and C programming. She has published 2 papers in International Journals. And 5 papers in International Conferences. She has also conducted workshops on Matlab and IoT. She has also organized many conferences and workshops and has attended more than 10 workshops.

Ms. Deepika Suhag (Assistant Professor)
Ms. Deepika Suhag has completed M.Tech (Information Technology), from C-DAC (GGSIPU), Delhi and B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), GGSIPU, Delhi. She has also completed 3 year Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from MBIT, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Her areas of Interest are Cryptography, Wireless Sensor Networks, Software Engineering and Object Oriented Techniques. She has published 1 Paper in International Journal of Taylor and Francis and has coordinated many workshops at college level and is a member of placement committee.

Ms. Ila Kaushik, Assistant Professor In the Department of CSE, completed M.Tech.(Information Security) from AIACTR, (GGSIPU), Govt. of NCT of Delhi and B.Tech.(Information Technology) from AKTU, Lucknow. She is a Merit Holder in her M.Tech Program. Her areas of interest are Computer Networking, Database Management Systems. She has presented 3 papers in International Conferences and 1 paper published in International Journal.

Ms. Ankita Taak Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE completed M.Tech(CSE) from C-DAC , Noida from the university of (GGSIPU) Delhi and B.Tech(IT) from GGSIPU, Delhi. She also qualified GATE examination and also qualified UGC NET examination. She was a member of ACM society during her B.Tech. Her areas of interest are Software Testing, Data Structures and C Programming.

Mr. Surendra Kumar (Assistant professor) has completed BCA. from IGNOU, MCA from IGNOU and M.Tech. from Manav Bharti Solan. He has 12 years of teaching experience. His areas of interests are database management system, data structure and computer networking.. He has guided more than 10 MCA students for their project. He has attended 4 workshops related to computer science.

HOD Profile

Prof. Rajnesh Singh is the Head of Department of CSE/IT/MCA and Coordinator of M.Tech Program of the Department of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology. He has completed M.Tech from C-DAC Noida. He is currently pursuing PhD in TCP over Mobile Adhoc Networks from Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida. He has more than 14 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels and is an active researcher. His areas of interest are networking, algorithms, mobile computing, and computer architecture. To his achievements, he has more than 10 International and 03 National publications in different UGC approved journals. He has presented 10 papers in International and 27 papers in National conferences. He has attended more than 10 FDP’s and workshops related to computer science. He has guided more than 25 M.Tech students for their research and more than 60 B.Tech students for their project. He worked as a Co-Convener for two national conferences. He aims at providing a growing and conducive environment to the students for nurturing them.
