The days have gone when even a large scale business was managed as a family business without any formal education. Experience gained out of trial and error method was considered as a sole criterion for business success. Nature and character of modern large scale business has undergone a sea change and such a business can only be managed by specially trained and skillful managers. Liberalized business era has provided opportunities for penetration of business firms in any geographical area of the world. MNCs are enlarging their areas of business operations and new business firms are emerging to reap the business opportunities all the world over. Owing to changed business environment, the market competition has also grown and focus of the firms is on customer satisfaction for enlarging market share and business profitability. Under the circumstances, the firms with special knowledge and skills can only survive in the long run. For overcoming the complex business problems and run enterprise smoothly, the management education has become a necessity of everyone who aspire a gainful employment in any corporate. Management education (MBA) is intended to fill the gap between demand for talented managerial manpower and its availability. MBA degree is the perfect vehicle for those who wish to develop their personal academic and professional skills for securing better employment opportunities in corporate world and also for being successful in other pursuits of life.

The IEC College of Engineering & Technology added the MBA program in the year 2005. It is a 2-year (4 semesters) full time program duly approved by the AICTE Govt. of India for which Uttar Pradesh Technical University,Lucknow. The program consists of few core courses and specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance, HR, IT and International Business. Summer training of 6-8 weeks in a corporate, Research Project and Comprehensive Viva are the important constituents of MBA program.

The Objectives:
The objectives of MBA are clearly laid down as
1. To provide quality education which empowers the management graduates with adequate knowledge and desired skills to meet the requirements of corporate business houses for talented Human Resource at home and aboard.
2. To develop students personality which enable them to face the challenges of modern day’s complexities of ever changing society successfully in various fields of human activity.
3. To inculcate in students the qualities of humanism for a meaningful life and selfless service in nation building.

The Teaching Faculty

The standards in teaching, presentation and class room discussions have considerably gone up to contribute to students’ personality. Eligibility

Graduation in any stream, with 50% marks should have appeared in any of the entrance examination like: CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA etc.
